It's a Minnie Mouse "Bird-day!"
I know I say it every year, but I really can't believe my baby is 3 years old! This past Wednesday was her special day and even though she woke up in a "mood" (normal), she quickly became pleasant and was happy to celebrate! We had a special breakfast and after taking the big girls to school, we headed to our playgroup we go to every Wednesday at a local church. Addison wanted a Minnie Mouse cake, so I worked for two days to get that thing done and it was a true miracle that it turned out as cute as it did! We also made chocolate cupcakes for her to give to her friends at playgroup.
Here is Addison and me playing in Photo Booth, she always asks to do "silly faces" so I obliged but she wouldn't even smile!
And here is the famous Minnie Mouse cake! It seriously took me two days and after making up 8 cups of buttercream icing and tinting the colors, the black turned out gray! I went from being angry to crying- Tuesday was an emotional day for me and I swore I would never make another cake like this again. But, as I was piping the icing out, it warmed up in my hand and magically turned black! Addison loved it and that is all that matters. She told me "Aww, it's cute Mummy!"
Addison got some pink, sequin Minnie Mouse high heels and some MM ears, so here she is posing for my mom, who was on Skype watching!
Yummy!!
But before we had cake, we had a pizza picinc in the living room! Love the MM ears!
And after getting use to piping the icing for the MM cake, I really got into it and decided to go back and monogram her cupcakes! All my southern friends would be proud.
