Confused

Well, I'm confused. Should our blog be about life here and important things or should it be about day-to-day family stuff? It started out as a way for people back in the states to keep up with what we were doing. Then we moved back to TX for a little over a year and did not post one time! Oops. Now, we are back and I just can't quite figure out where the blog is going. I read so many "mommy" blogs that I feel like Cardiff Central is becoming just that. Which is fine, I guess. So, the question is should I rename the blog and write more about our family and day-to-day life OR leave it the way it is?

My girls

I do have a few things floating around in my head to write about, but these pictures are just begging to be posted.

This is what Bailey started doing today, while waiting for her food....

Oh, I am blessed!

More Love!

What a week! We got ANOTHER care package today! This one from Chad and Amy and the Truth Class at Prestonwood! Y'all are so sweet! I was coming home from running errands and as I was pulling on to our street I saw the package delivery man, whom we are ever so grateful for, heaving this huge box off the back a truck. As I got closer to our house I realized he was walking up to our door, so I raced into our garage, through the back garden and into the house to see who it was from. Sad that I am so excited to get mail. I should get out more huh?

Thanks Truth Class! You guys shocked us with everything you sent, we could not believe the cake mixes and muffin mixes and snacks you sent!

Good news for Cerys!

Thanks to all who have asked about Cerys...we saw a consultant yesterday and he does not see anything to be concerned about. We will still have an x-ray or sonogram (not sure which) on her kidneys to make sure things are working properly. Since she has not had a history of such things, he was not concerned...just need to keep an eye on things that's all! So we are very pleased.

Thank you for thinking about her and praying!
Have a good rest of the week!

For Heather

I don't really know where to start this whole story, so I'll just jump in...

This past summer I came across Lisa Welchel's website. She was "Blair Warner" from the television show, The Facts of Life. She was doing a women's retreat at Prestonwood, but I could not attend, so I started reading her journal entries. The first time I read her journal entry, she spoke of another mom that had started blogging about her journey. That's how I found In The Midst Of It. This is my favorite "mommy" blog! Maybe because I was "in the midst of " a newborn and an 18 month old! I do not even know this precious lady, but I feel like I do just from reading her blog. She is funny, creative, but the real reason I love reading her blog is that she is honest! Through her blog I found Especially Heather and BooMama. BooMama is a hoot! Again, the reason I like her blog is not only her humor, but she keeps it real too! You should go read hers as well! I never knew so many blogs were out there until I found In The Midst Of It, and it's been so neat to read about people I don't even know, their journeys, and how God has moved in their lives!

But this is the real reason I'm posting today...Heather just received some devastating news, she has an inoperable brain tumor. Go read her story if you are so inclined. BooMama has set up a place, here, for us to help Heather's family out if you feel led to do so. But more than anything, say a prayer for Heather and her family.

Thank you!

We're Feeling The Love!

Seriously, it's huge!!!

Thank you so much! What a nice treat for us today!

Nothing Much

That about sums it up...nothing much going on here today. The girls are recovering from being sick- fever, snot, cough, etc. Now Marc seems to have it. Sigh. We have never been as sick as we've been the last 3 months. I was just thinking that I had not been to the doctor the entire time we were back in Texas- over a year...except of course my ob. each month to check on Bailey. So far I've had 2 sinus infections, Marc has been sick twice and the girls...well the list could go on and on. I know the people at our local surgery probably don't believe me when I tell them we have never been to the doctor so much!!!

Cerys has an appointment tomorrow with a pediatrician at a private paying hospital here in Cardiff. We still have not received an appointment to get her x-ray through the NHS, so we decided to see a private doctor because things progress much faster when you pay people!!! Hmmm....imagine that.

Hope your weekend was restful, have a good one!

I'm sure we will be back up at our surgery before the week is out....

We're Back!

We're back from a week away. We had a good time, but the girls are now sick...runny noses, coughs and Bales has fever. :( It seems this happens to us every time we are run down and tired, and the girls are definitely exhausted from the week. Hopefully they will get rested up this weekend and be on the mend soon.

Bales is crawling all over the place now, she started crawling one week ago tonight, so it has not taken long for her to get into everything!

We were able to hear from the tall skinny kiwi this week, very interesting stuff, very thought provoking...I'm still sorting some things in my mind right now or I would share. I've been challenged in my thinking of church recently and it's been cool.

Have a great weekend!

And she's off...

Yes, ladies and gentlemen- Bailey, the amazing 10 month old (tomorrow!) is now crawling!!! I was not so sure this day would come, because Cerys never crawled, but did this scooting on her bottom thing. For about 3 or 4 weeks Bailey has been getting up on her knees, then rocking back and forth, then this last week started going backwards...but last night (Friday) she did 4 little "crawls" (I know that's not a word, but I can't really say steps!) and we were so excited and clapped that she sat up and started crying. :) Then Cerys proceeded to show us that she too can crawl, now that she's 2.5 years old and all....

2 year olds

Cerys' vocabulary is growing literally every day. Here are some things heard around our house this week...

Me- "Cerys, do you need to go to the potty?"
Cerys- "UUUGGGHHHH, NOT TODAY MOMMY"

Cerys- "Baiwey, crawl to me k?"

Me- "Cerys, do you need to go the potty?"
Cerys- "UUUGGGHHH, NOT TONIGHT MOMMY"

Cerys- "I no want to seet (sleep) tonight Mommy" (with a very serious look on her face)

Cerys- (to Marc) "Good girl boy Daddy!"

Me- "Cerys, Daddy is a boy, Mommy and you and Bailey are girls"
Cerys- "Ok, Ok, Ok, Daddy is Marc.
Me-"Yes, Daddy's name is Marc, what is your name?
Cerys- "Girl"
Me- "Yes, you are a girl but your name is Cerys."
Cerys- "Mommy is Chartee?"
Me- "Yes, my name is Charity, but I'm mommy to you"

Cerys- (at the top of her lungs in IKEA) "MARC, COME HERE!"

And my favorite...her singing a combination of Jesus Loves Me, Wheels on the Bus, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Rock-a-Bye Baby...

"Jedus woves me on da treetop how I wonda whhhat oooo ahhh go wound and wound all frew da toooowwwnn."
