You Will Be Blessed

Go on over to Bring The Rain, you will be blessed for it. This precious family has been through something really tough that I can't even begin to grasp, yet have praised God through it all. Todd and Angie are their names and Todd sings in a group called Selah- I'm sure you've heard of it. :) Angie's honest writing has blessed me so much. She wrote a post about fear that was just awesome, I feel like I could have written some of it. Grab some tissues if you plan to visit their blog. You will need them. And that first song that plays on the blog by Dave Crowder will make you cry too.

God bless you Todd and Angie!

Puppet Theatre

**Thank y'all so much for your sweet comments and for being the least bit interested in my sewing adventures! :) Thank you!!!

And this is the case that it all folds up into-

Media_http4bpblogspot_aunbi

Goodness y'all, this took all week but it's finally done! I'm in love with this fabric, I think I've mentioned that a time or two. The girls loved it and although we don't have any puppets yet, Elmo has been giving us a good show so far. :) I've got some left over pieces of each pattern so I have all kinds of ideas...zippy purse for my coins, pin cushions, or even a purse or bag! Anyway, thanks for caring about my puppet theatre!

*Excuse the green fingernails...she decided to pick out the green paint in the watercolor tray this afternoon :)

**I just finished the puppet theatre and I'm absolutely giddy over it! The fabric is just too cute and I can't believe I actually made something this size...this was by far the biggest project I've ever attempted. Tomorrow I will make the case for it and then I will show a picture. Now I just need some puppets! LOL.

LOOK!

Media_http3bpblogspot_bmfhs

This about did me in, having to cut into this piece that I had already hemmed so neatly. But it was okay. And I'm almost finished!!!

Then during my grocery shopping tonight, I saw these!

Media_http1bpblogspot_efxes

A little sign under them said "New! Buy one get one free!" I threw two in the cart and later realized I just paid $1.50 for 10 cookies. I actually hope they stay that price and it was not some special because they are new, but you never know around here! We don't really care. We will enjoy our 20 cookies that's for sure!

Progress

Thank you for your sweet comments on the last post. I truly appreciate it.

I've made progress- less fear/more faith- as well as in sewing that puppet theatre-

I cut out the fabric on Saturday....

Media_http4bpblogspot_liyoy

I hemmed the background piece last night...

Media_http3bpblogspot_pybjg

And tonight I hemmed the valances and sewed (is that even a word?) on the ball fringe...and that was my favorite part!

Media_http1bpblogspot_gfghk

And now I've realized this fabric is way too cute for a silly puppet theatre! It really should have been some cute toddler clothes or something. Oh well. The girls will just have to take extra special care of this theatre! It's so cute I might not let them use it. LOL.

Jesus and Snow

Anyone out there think that Dolly Parton's song Jesus and Gravity on Idol was hilarious? I believed that she wrote that from an honest heart, it just struck me as funny. So, that's why I wrote my title of this post like that because it made me chuckle.

Can I just tell you that it snowed on me this afternoon while I was out running? Yes, it did. Crazy. We had that one day of beautiful weather, guess that was just a joke. The forecast did say snow showers in the UK today, but it's usually Scotland and Northern England that get it so I was not expecting anything here. However, Marc and Cerys were hopeful. Marc prayed for snow today right before our lunch and sure enough!!! It was cloudy and a few snowflakes came down, but nothing major. So I decided to go on my run and right at the end of my trail a few round, almost hail-like pieces came down and I just giggled because the sun was out! A huge, dark cloud stalled out over the park and absolutely dumped! There were parents laughing and kids screaming and people running for cover, it was hilarious. I picked up my pace a bit and found shelter under a community centre patio and stood there for about 2 minutes and watched everything turn into a winter wonderland, it was beautiful! Then I just felt the urge to run in it, so I took off and ran all the way home! And guess who was at the window laughing hysterically at me? I don't care, I had a good time! They say in Texas if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute and it will change. I'm starting to believe that about Wales! :)

The Lord has been good to me today! I was sharing with a lady at church this morning that I was really struggling with fear in a certain area and I just felt paralyzed by it. She was so encouraging to me and just grabbed my elbow and said, "Charity, if the Son has set you free, you are free indeed, walk in it!" And you know, she is absolutely right! I've struggled with fear my entire life and thanks to the Lord alone I've had major breakthrough's in that area the past 5 years. But something about these last 2 weeks, it's just come over me and about paralyzed me and I was so upset by it. I sang my heart out this morning, telling God that I am desperate for Him and I'm sorry for being so worried and letting this crippling fear grip me once more. I felt at peace about things after the service, but when this sweet lady came up to me and spoke those words to me I was in awe of Him once again and so thankful that He heard my honest plea. And, I'll just add here that what she had to say was exactly for me because this was her first time to come to our church. I know her from somewhere else and we had talked about her coming to visit because she knew some other people there, so to see her this morning just made me smile and then for her to say those words to me...well, it's because of Him!

In other non-related news, I got up enough courage (don't laugh) to get started on that BRTS Puppet Theatre. I ordered some Heather Bailey fabric that is so darling but I was too chicken to cut into it. I have been staring at it for like 2 weeks I think. Anyway, yesterday I cut it out and today I got started on one piece of it. I hope to have it done by the end of the week. I'll post a picture once it's done.

Hope your week is off to a wonderful start!

70 Degrees Y'all!

Yes! At one point our outdoor thermometer read 70 degrees!!! We celebrated by playing outside after lunch- in just a light jacket- even stayed out there 20 min. past nap time!!! Gasp. Then after nap, we went over to the bay area and played on a playground that is full of sand...and so were our shoes, but who cares!!!

It was a glorious day and made me realize just how cabin-feverish I really was! Oh, I pray it stays, even for just a few days! Or who knows, maybe today was our odd sunny interval.

Looks like it will be a relaxing weekend for us. We will watch Idol results tomorrow night, as usual! We will be moving in a few weeks - more on that later- so we will be trying to organize some things in our heads and in our loft (attic) probably on Saturday! Should be fun, I love cleaning out and organizing!!! Just ask Marc..."Honey, have you seen my....." :)

New Lungs!

I'm sure most who read my blog probably already know- but please pray now for Tricia over at Confessions of a CF Husband. Because of the time difference here, I just read about it- but Tricia is getting her double lung transplant- probably as I type this, if it's not already done. Can you imagine? A DOUBLE LUNG TRANSPLANT.

Pray for her, her husband and precious baby girl who is 12 weeks old. And the rest of the family too!

Placemat Cheer

I figured since it's almost Spring here (or is it? I never really know.) that I was in need of some cheerful placemats. I bought some quilting squares at a local shop and some solid white cotton for the back and made these four placemats and matching napkins from BTRS. I'm not extremely pleased with them, I was in too big of a hurry and they are not straight in places, but oh well. I'll use them for our little family anyway.

I think the binding/ribbon could have been thinner too, but it's too late now! I'm not going back and re-doing them, that's for sure!

Weather Forecast

I love listening to the weather forecast here because it includes words like "blustery" and "dismal" and other equally encouraging words.

We picked up a local newspaper on our afternoon walk (while it was sunny!) and the weather forecast for a day this week reads...

"A mostly cloudy day, but chance of the odd sunny interval."

Oh, that made me chuckle so.

Hope your week, wherever you are, has the "odd sunny interval!"
