Nursery School
Well, the first drop-off is done. Bales and I are back home and it's awfully quiet! But just look-
Right before we left the house, the SUN poked through the clouds! God is so good to bless us today with the sun's presence. In fact, Cerys said on the way to school, "Thank you Jesus for making the sun come out!"Here she is, in her uniform (green, white and grey) Do you think I took enough pictures? And here we go! Look, no rain!!! Cerys sang all the way to school- "Our God is a Great Big God" and "God Said It, I Believe It". She then said, "What a happy day for us!" Ha. I was thinking of those songs on the way home and God gently reminded me of the verse I came across this morning was Isaiah 40:11- "He tends his flock like a shepherd, He gathers lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young." It took us about 13 minutes to walk to the school, something that we will have to get use to that's for sure! I was ready for a snack by the time I got home! Ha. There is some parking in the back of the school, but it's mainly residential so I'm not sure if we will be able to drive. And here is her school!
One of the Nursery Nurses (teacher assistant) met us at the door and showed Cerys her hook for her coat and backpack then we said goodbye! She was shy, but not crying which was really good! We hugged and kissed her and told her we would be back in 2.5 hours and then the Nursery Nurse took her by the hand and took her into the classroom. Then the three of us walked out of the gates and I bawled my eyes out. I had to say goodbye to Marc at the bus stop since he was going into town for meetings, but he is going to meet us at the school in a little while to pick her up.There are just so many differences, being in another country obviously, some things good, some things I find a little frustrating. We didn't even see the teacher, nor do we know how many children in her class. There are many things I plan to find out over the course of this week though!I'll be back later today with a re-cap of her first day! Thank you for praying for the weather for us, we were blessed!!!
