Josh, holding up Caerphilly Castle!

Josh and Bailey in the ball pit! Bailey's head looks like one of the balls, she's so bald!

As I type this, Marc is driving my little brother to Heathrow so he can fly back to Dallas. He has a full schedule ahead of him..summer jobs, getting back into shape he says...after being in Wales for 2 weeks and not playing much basketball. He also has to decide what college he will attend. I'm so glad he took these last 2 weeks to come visit us before he's off to school. What a big transition in life, not only for him, but for my parents. I still have one younger brother (Hey Uncle Buddy!) at home, so they are not empty-nesters...yet. We enjoyed our time with Josh. We visited several castles, he went horse back riding on the beach, and climbed the tallest mountain in South Wales with Marc. Not to mention playing with Cerys and Bailey! We told Cerys last night that Uncle Josh has to get on a plane today and go back to Texas. She just kind of looked at us, not sure what to think. So this morning she was constantly asking, "Josh, you go back to Texy to-day?" I wish I could help her understand, but it's so hard at this age. It's great when family comes to visit, we have what I call, really "concentrated" time together! But then when it's time to go back home, it's really hard. I usually spend the day people leave, feeling down and missing family and friends in Texas even more. But I know we are here for this time in our lives and I'm certain of our call here. It's just hard being apart from family and friends.

So, Josh, if you read this- We are missing you already and Cerys will probably ask all day when you are coming back. We hope you had a great time here seeing the sights and hanging out with us. Enjoy the rest of your summer break, before you're off to college! I still can't believe you are old enough to go off to college! When you were born, I was just a little 6th grader with chicken pox and I couldn't come near you for several weeks. Time flies by, so enjoy your last few months of life at home with mom's cooking and laundry services! ;) Hopefully, we'll see you in November and we will look forward to hearing about your first semester at college!
